Here are 30 things you can incorporate into your self-care routine. As mentioned on yesterday’s post, self care is critically important in maintaining your mental health and well-being. The term is used often but I would describe self care as anything you do that makes you feel good and prepares you to take on life’s challenges with energy and passion. So here goes…
- Do your nails
- Do your hair
- Journal
- Find a new hobby – painting, photography, writing, selling items on ebay, anything you love
- Create a vision board
- Drink hot tea or cider
- Formulate a new skin care routine
- Exfoliate!
- Practice Yoga or Meditation
- Read a book – I seriously love this one
- Listen to podcasts – search for some good ones online
- Get off social media
- Cook a meal that you have been craving
- Take a nap preferably with fuzzy socks and or blanket =)
- Color in a coloring book
- Write in your planner, organize your time
- Stretch
- Steam your face with a hot towel
- Write down ten things you loved to do as a child, do one of them
- Go for a walk
- Moisturize with almond oil
- Decorate your space
- Sleep earlier than usual
- Write down 3 things you are thankful for
- Post your goals in plain sight
- Get a foam roller and use it – these things are really really amazing
- Re-read an old favorite book
- Essential oils! need I say more?
- Go sightseeing in your own city
- Do something you’ve been putting off for a long time
