Blogmas Day 2: 30 New Ideas for Your Self Care Routine

Here are 30 things you can incorporate into your self-care routine. As mentioned on yesterday’s post, self care is critically important in maintaining your mental health and well-being. The term is used often but I would describe self care as anything you do that makes you feel good and prepares you to take on life’s challenges with energy and passion. So here goes…

  1. Do your nails
  2. Do your hair
  3. Journal
  4. Find a new hobby – painting, photography, writing, selling items on ebay, anything you love
  5. Create a vision board
  6. Drink hot tea or cider
  7. Formulate a new skin care routine
  8. Exfoliate!
  9. Practice Yoga or Meditation
  10. Read a book – I seriously love this one
  11. Listen to podcasts – search for some good ones online
  12. Get off social media
  13. Cook a meal that you have been craving
  14. Take a nap preferably with fuzzy socks and or blanket =)
  15. Color in a coloring book
  16. Write in your planner, organize your time
  17. Stretch
  18. Steam your face with a hot towel
  19. Write down ten things you loved to do as a child, do one of them
  20. Go for a walk
  21. Moisturize with almond oil
  22. Decorate your space
  23. Sleep earlier than usual
  24. Write down 3 things you are thankful for
  25. Post your goals in plain sight
  26. Get a foam roller and use it – these things are really really amazing
  27. Re-read an old favorite book
  28. Essential oils! need I say more?
  29. Go sightseeing in your own city
  30. Do something you’ve been putting off for a long time
